Jeff Davis Andrews

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeff Davis Andrews, of Monticello, announces his passing. He passed away peacefully at his home on February 11, 2018, at the age of 68.

Jeff Andrews was born to the late Earl Arthur Andrews and Mary Wilson Andrews and was raised in Atlanta. He graduated from Marist Academy in Atlanta and attended Auburn University. He retired after 25 years of service in the U. S. Navy as a meteorologist/ice analyst; and worked 10 years for the Shell Oil Company as an Ice Analyst in Anchorage, Alaska.

He was a devoted grandfather to his six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ricky Baker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Dryden Andrews of Monticello; children, Shannon Andrews of Perryville, Ky., Shawn Andrews of Youngsville, N.C. and Shane Andrews of Monticello; grandchildren, Blake Andrews, Cody Baker, Kaia Baker, Presley Andrews, Deacon Andrews and Cole Andrews; and sister, Monte Andrews of Stone Mountain.

The family will be honoring his wishes with a graveside service at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Road, Nicholasville, Ky. with full military honors on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) in memory of Jeff Andrews.
