Carole Lee Griffin Miller
Carole Lee Griffin Miller, age 80, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018, at The Retreat Nursing Home.
Carole Miller was born in Eufaula, Ala. to the late Roscoe Lee Griffin and Clara Gray Griffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Weyman Eugene Miller in 1996.
Mrs. Miller moved to Monticello at the age of 18. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She loved being with children and kept the Monticello Baptist Church nursery for over 20 years. She enjoyed visiting elderly friends and family, reading and sewing.
Before retirement, she worked for Kym Company in Jackson, and Monticello Manufacturing for 37 years. After retirement, she provided childcare for family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Rich (Rebecka) Miller of Hedgesville, W.Va. and Marcy (Danny) Smith of Jackson; grandchildren, Preston Miller, Morgan Miller, Jordan Grace Miller, Madison Smith and Merritt Smith; special loved one, Payden Cantera; sister, Brenda Gaw of Sparta, Tenn.; and brother, Roscoe Lee (Sue Ellen) Griffin, Jr. of Portland, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Monticello Baptist Church. Interment will be held in West View Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Tondee and Pastor Rich Miller will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Pope, Rickey Cantera, Payden Cantera, Tom Miller, Jerry Miller and Jimmy McMichael.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Jordan Funeral Home.
