DDA Training Set April 9
The City of Monticello Downtown Development Authority is hosting DDA training on Monday, April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This eight-hour session will fulfill the required training for all DDA Board members.
Other interested pesrons are welcome to attend.
The cost for the training is $98 per person and covers instructor fees, training materials, continental breakfast and lunch. The training will be held in the meeting room at the Visitors’ Center (Monticello Government Complex – 119 West Washington Street, Monticello).
Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. The session will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be catered at the location. If there are any dietary restrictions, please note when registering.

Ann Arnold, former Director of Downtown Development for the city of Rome, will be conducting the eight-hour Downtown Development Authority training. Ms. Arnold has more than 30 years’ experience working with DDAs and Main Streets all over Georgia.
She earned the Georgia Master Downtown Development Professional Certification, the National Main Street Program Certification, and was an organizing member of the Georgia Downtown Association.
Training topics will include: What is a Downtown Development Authority and your role as a board member, Understanding the Main Street 4 Point Approach, DDA Law, Board Development, and Financing Tools for the DDA.
