Arrests Are Reported

The only theft reported to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) this week was that of a firearm missing from a home in north Jasper County.

No other thefts were reported in the last week, but numerous people were arrested.

They, and their charges, include:

•Joanna Marie Daniel, 36, Newborn—burglary (1st degree), criminal damage to property (two counts) and possession of methamphetamine.

•Kenneth John Medrano, 40, Covington—burglary-1st degree, burglary-2nd degree, criminal damage to property (two counts) and possession of methamphetamine.

•Deborah Charlene Darby, 35, Hampton—disorderly conduct and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

•Suzanne Barnes, 45. Monticello—hold for warrant in Oxford, Ga.

•Kevin Dwayne Johnson, Jr., 19, Madison—sale of methamphetamine.

•Victoria Jade Gordy, 27, Greensboro—possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, driving while license suspended or revoked and drug related objects.

•Kayla Marie Cleveland, 27, Athens—simple battery.

•Elizabeth Ann Cheek, 37, Mansfield—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Jon Tanner Holland, 29, Covington—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Anthony Jerome Smith, 57, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Karen Deann Hunt, 50, Mansfield—possession of methamphetamine.

•James Robert Puckett, 30, Bethlehem—possession of methamphetamine, false statements or writings, concealment of facts or fraudulent documents and driving without a valid license.

•Horace Shivers, Jr., 63, Monticello—simple battery.

•Clayton Scott Hardy, 23, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Joseph Eldridge Workman, 34, Lizella—driving while license suspended or revoked

Officers with the JCSO during the week also did 76 premises check, 64 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 29 direct traffic, 21 subjects needs officer, investigated 14 accidents, and responded to 14 reports of roadway hazard, 12 serve civil papers, responded to 10 alarms, had to pick up subjects 12 times, and numerous other calls of various types.
