Man Charged with Aggravated Child Molestation

Joshua Alan Freeman, 37, of Monticello has been arrested on five counts of aggravated child molestation.

The behavior leading to the arrest took place over the past five years with a minor female child. There are warrants for each year, 2014 to2018. The GBI is investigating the case.

Deputies are investigating two major burglaries in the last week. One was on Oconee Forest Road where numerous items were taken from a residence. The other occurred on Gaissert Road where a motorcycle was taken from a residence.

Persons arrested in the last week, in addition to Mr. Freeman, and their charges, include:

•Heather Gail Ray, 26, Covington—sale of methamphetamine.

•Charles William Deyton, 45, Sunnyside—false statements or writings; concealment of facts, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Gary Lee Champion, 38, Monticello—probation violation.

•April Leanne Fuller, 25, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Vashon Leon Traylor, 29, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce and driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Roderiquez Dewun Gilbert, 24, Hampton—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Cameron Alan Davis, 19, Williamson—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Austin Ryan Willeby, 18, McDonough—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Shawna Fitzgerald Cope, 40, Covington—open container of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Ashlie Michelle Benton, 29, Shady Dale—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.

•Teresa Marie Schwartz, 29, Shady Dale—probation violation.

•Sabrina Ann Harp, 23, Monticello—terroristic threats and acts.

•Brittany Lea Robertson, 28, Jonesboro—knowingly driving a motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration.

•Codie Alexander Jeffares, 24, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine (two counts) and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

•Nikki Lashea Metcalf, 26, Mansfield—possession of methamphetamine (two counts).
