Jasper Superior Court Alters Probation Cases

Judge Alison Burleson had a light docket of cases to preside over last Tuesday in Jasper Superior Court.

Aside from six civil cases and a dozen child support enforcement cases, the judge reviewed sentences for a handful of probation revocation/modification cases including:

Shirley Benton, sentenced to 12 months of probation for public drunkenness. Fined $200.

Bridgett Jones, probation revoked to state penal system for committing new offense of theft of a motor vehicle in Colorado in August 2017 and driving under the influence, receiving stolen property and trafficking in a controlled substance in Kentucky in December 2017.

David Ramey, 120 days in Jasper County jail for three separate positive drug tests from October 2017 to April 2018. Must complete outpatient rehab once released.

Kiefer Wood, 60 days in Jasper County jail for failing to report to probation and for admitted drug use. Must complete outpatient rehab once released.

Calvin Williams, 60 days in Jasper County jail for failure to report to probation and failure to make court payments on two separate criminal cases.

Damian Cloud, 33 days in Jasper County jail for failure to adhere to probation conditions.
