Arrests Are Reported
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated several thefts in the last week, including burglaries on Sandpiper Drive, College Street, and Falcon Circle.
A Harley Davidson motorcycle was taken from Falcon Circle, and tools were taken from Sandpiper Drive. The officer’s report did not list what was taken from College Street. In addition, 500 feet of fire sprinkler hose was taken from an address on Meadowlark Drive.
There were also a couple reports of identity fraud during the week.
Persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center during the last week, and their charges, included:
•Carl Andrew Mahaffey, 50, homeless—probation violation.
•Jessica Ortiz, 18, Shady Dale—unlawful conduct during 911 call.
•Patrick James Harvard, 27, Mansfield—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Madison Amber Reese, 18, Monticello—headlight violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Lontavious Cantrell Nelson, 28, Eatonton—identity fraud.
•Austin James Carden, 18, Monticello—aggravated assault.
•Lori Christine Straka, 55, Monticello—hold for warrant at Jackson Police Dept.
•Taneisha Brianna Ammons, 22, Monticello—battery and affray.
•Kimberly Lynn Holcombe, 42, Covington— driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
•Grady Clemons, 26, Eatonton—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Brandon Cole Cox, 24, Monticello—hold for warrant at Putnam Co.
•Alexus Mercedes Evans, 23, Monticello—battery and affray.
