Early Voting Is Under Way

More than 20 people have voted in person, and 25 by absentee as of Wednesday morning after early voting opened Monday morning.

Early voting continues weekdays through May 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the basement of the Courthouse. Also, voters may choose to vote on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Courthouse.

Most statewide races are on the ballot, but the only contested race locally is the District 5 school board race. In addition, voters are being asked to approve an Education Local Option Sales Tax for improvements at the schools.
