Soccer Awards Are Presented
The Lady Hurricanes and Hurricane Soccer teams ended their season with honors and recognition of their accomplishments during the 2018 season.
As a growing, competitive sport in Monticello, the soccer coaches were pleased with the commitment of the players, the energy of the teams, and the improvements noted on the field.
The Lady Canes continue to grow and develop and will be working together over the summer in various camps and training opportunities. Members of the boys soccer team are exploring options of participating in Georgia’s Select Soccer travel league and will be working together also over the summer in various camp opportunities.
Players gave special thanks to Coaches David Aldridge and John Graybill of the girls squad and Brian Walls and Michael Cooper for the boys squad. Special recognition to the following players for their accomplishments:

In addition to the awards given, some seniors were recognized as leaders in the soccer program as they supported the development of the inaugural soccer team. The Founder’s Award was presented to Jovani Gonzales, Alejandro Jaramillo, Mario Garcia, Marcos Moore, Rod Vargas, and Dennis Ortiz.
