Eckie May Linch Cason
Eckie May Linch Cason, age 86, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at her residence.
Eckie May Cason was born in Cataula, Ga., on September 16, 1931. Her parents were the late William Stubbs Linch and Eckie Smith Linch. Her family moved to Jasper County when she was a teenager. Eckie May Cason was a long-standing member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Eckie May Cason worked for the Monticello Manufacturing Company for a few years and stopped to raise her sons. After the children were grown, she returned to work for the Oxford Company. After its closing, she worked for Harris Sample Book in Monticello.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Pittard Cason; son, Ronald Lamar “Ronnie” Cason; infant sister, Lois Linch; and brothers, Leonard Kelly Linch and William S. Linch.
She is survived by her sons, Clinton Michael “Mike” Cason and Donald Francis “Donnie” Cason of Monticello; sisters and brothers, Sara L. Cason of Monticello, Josephine L. (Jack) Littrell of Williamsburg, Iowa, Luther Wilkins “Pete” (Doris) Linch of Abilene, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Linch of Centerville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the love and care that Annie Willingham and Lizzie Greene have provided our mother for the past two years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Williams Payne Cemetery. Chaplain Jim Ross will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Linch, Joseph Linch, David Linch, Johnny Linch, Jimmy Linch and Justin McCrary.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018, prior to the service at Jordan Funeral Home.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Williams Payne Cemetery c/o Lynn C. Jordan, Trustee, 3408 Perimeter Road, Monticello, Ga. 31064.
