Sylvia T. “Ree Ree” Banks
A celebration of life for Ms. Sylvia T. “Ree Ree” Banks was held yesterday, June 27, 2018 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 837 Hillsboro Street in Monticello. Dr. Jimmy Horton, pastor/eulogist. Repast at Thomas Persons Hall. Burial at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sylvia Theresa (ReeRee) Banks was born May 6, 1952 in Red Bank, N.J. to the late Mary Ann Banks and Gene Davis. She moved to Monticello at a young age where she received her education from Jasper County Training School. She held many jobs throughout her life such as at the former Franklin Vaneer and the Jasper County Senior Center.
Sylvia (ReeRee) enjoyed her life with family and friends. On June 21, 2018, she departed this life at the Macon Medical Center in Macon.
Preceding her in death are her parents, a son, Tyrone Griggs, a brother, Larry Moultrie, and a sister, Robin Mou1trie.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter, Jackie Banks of Monticello; a loving son, Ezzard Mendell Williams of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Dessira Banks, Miranda Marks, Fredrick Marks, Quantonious Banks, Qurdea Williams, Lamarious Thurman, and Savione Williams; four great-grandchildren: De’Jada Marks, De’Aysia Banks, De’Maury Ross, and Carson Marks; a sister, RoseMary Moultrie; five brothers, Ronny Moultrie of Middle Town. N.J., Bobby Moultrie of Willington, N.C., Michael Moultrie, Thomas Moultrie, and Joseph Alexander of Eatonton.
Also, aunts, Emma Jane Davis, Ollie Robinson and Annette Tripp, an uncle, Joe K. Davis, Sr., a special friend for many years, Nathaniel Williams, Sr., several close cousins, Ezzard Davis, James Thomas, Janice Davis and many other relatives and friends, also a devoted friend, Melissa Driskell.
