Thefts Are Investigated
Jasper County deputies are investigating three thefts that occurred in the last week in Jasper County. On Sunday, a number of items were taken from a truck on Old Agateville Road. Items missing include Yeti cooler, gift cards, clothing, tools and drugs.
Likewise, a large number of tools are missing from a shop on Smithboro Road. Items missing include several different types of saws, a welder, drill, and more. Also, deputies were called to a report of shoplifting at the Family Dollar store in Monticello Sunday.
Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Michael Travis Campbell, 34, Auburn—possession of methamphetamine.
•Sammy Ricky Graeff, 20, Monticello—false statements/writings or concealment of facts.
•Jonathan Andre Sims, Jr., 21, Monticello—possession of Schedule IV controlled substance (six counts), possession of Schedule II controlled substance, fleeing/attempting to elude police officer, failure to maintain lane, driving without a license, seat belt violation, stop sign violation, probation violation and obstruction of an officer.
•Joann Hardin, 58, Monticello: insurance fraud (two counts), theft by reception (two counts) and residential contractor without a license.
•Jeffery Clint Purcell, 46, Athens—probation violation.
•Anna Denise Williams, 31, Covington—possession of prescription pills not in original container, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, seat belt violation, too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.
•William David Powell, 21, Ellenwood—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operation of vehicle without current plate and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Joseph Roy Newberry, 29, Covington—fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, no tag or expired tag, driving while license suspended/revoked and reckless driving.
•Frank Aaron Sprayberry, 40, Newborn—reckless driving and speeding.
•Kenneth Hatcher, 35, Warthen—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Keyshawn Ramon Jackson, 22, Monticello—probation violation.
•Stephanie Lynn Flint, 32, Mansfield—possession of methamphetamine.
•David Luke Maughon, 26, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol.
•Isaac Maurice Gilliam, 38, Conyers—theft by receiving stolen property.
•Kawanjula Taneyla Harden, 24, Monticello—theft by receiving stolen property.
•Willie James Jones, Jr., 28, Atlanta—Jasper County Superior Court bench warrant.
•Tommie Lee Dunn, 53, Monticello—probation violation
