Persons Are Arrested

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) are investigating some burglaries this week, including that of a wallet from an address on Hillsboro Street. There was also a camper taken from an address on Guy Jones Road.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Dakota Slade Clark, 30, Covington—driving unsafe or improperly equipped vehicle and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Stephanie Michelle Sallas, 28, Loganville—possession of methamphetamine.

•Samantha Ann Barber, 29, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.

•James Henry Taylor, 32, homeless—possession of methamphetamine, failure to stop at stop sign and driving while licensed suspended or revoked.

•James Brian Moss, 39, homeless—possession of methamphetamine.

*Mondrez Rontarious Jacobs, 21, Conyers—probation violation.

•Billy Bruce Johnson, Jr., 33, Griffin—possession of methamphetamine, failure to maintain lane, fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, driving while license suspended or revoked and license plate violation.

•Harry Lee Maddox, 56, Monticello—purchase/possess/manufacture/distribute/sale of marijuana possession of marijuana less than an ounce, open container of alcohol and parole violation.

•Mark Maach Spriggs, 25, Shady Dale—hold for warrant at Oxford Police Department.

•Ethan Todd Riggs, 28, Gray—theft by receiving stolen property, failure to maintain lane, improper display of license plate, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving while license suspended or revoked and unlawful use of driver’s license.

•Lori Christine Straka, 55, Monticello—probation violation.

•Payson Deflura Hoover, 58, Riverdale—hold for warrant in Texas.

•Jamie Michelle Parker, 39, Monticello—terroristic threats and acts.

•Lisa Louise Denning, 53, Covington—possession of methamphetamine, failure to wear seat belt and possession of drug related objects.

•Billy Joe Strickland, 50, Covington—possession of methamphetamine, windshield violation and possession of drug related objects.

•Donald Edward Newmans, 47, Mansfield—hold for warrant in Newton Co.

•Nicholas Lawayne Smith, 18, Monticello—possession of Schedule IV controlled substance (six counts), possession of Schedule II controlled substance, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and probation violation.

•Samantha Leighann Rutherford, 17, Monticello—possession of drug related objects.

•Coty Ryan Casler, 40, Forsyth—criminal trespass.
