Persons Are Arrested

Deputies are investigating a theft by receiving stolen property after a woman came to the sheriff’s office to check a handgun she had in her possession, only to learn it had been reported stolen.

Deputies are also investigating the theft of cash from a residence on West Nuthatch Drive. No details were available.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•David Sebastian Ransel, 38, Gainesville—probation violation.

•Bryant Shayne Abel, 25, McDonough—aggravated assault, criminal trespass and simple battery.

•Clayton Scott Hardy, 23, Monticello—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Robert Harvey Moore, Jr., 47, Winder—theft by taking (three counts) and criminal damage to property (five counts).

•Nicole Elizabeth Kraus, 34, Lynn Haven, Fla.—probation violation.

•Ernesto Trejo Sanchez, 28, Lansdowe Md.—battery.

•Shirley Wise Benton, 59, Monticello—public drunkenness and public indecency.

•Daniel Andreas Mackey, 31, Stockbridge—probation violation.

•Michael Wayne Bellamy, 47, St. Croix, VI—probation violation.

•April Leanne Fuller, 25, Monticello—Jasper County Probate Court bench warrant.

•James Richard Vaughn, 65, Mansfield—purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution or sale of marijuana (two counts).
