Fugitive Is Arrested in Bibb County
James Randall Spensley, 35, of Centerville, who was being sought by authorities for allegedly trying to set fire to the home of a Jones County Deputy and Jasper County Investigator has been caught.
He was arrested Friday in Bibb County, according to Investigator Jimmy Black with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.
He was in a stolen vehicle when he was located. In Jones County, Mr. Spensley is facing five counts of aggravated assault, one count of arson, two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree, one count of intimidating an officer, and possibly other charges. He also faces charges in Bibb County.
Locally, deputies were called to several instances of theft including one on Swan Court, where a wallet and phone were taken. The wallet contained money, credit cards, and identification cards. They also investigated a case of shoplifting at the Dollar General in town, and two counts of financial identity card theft.

•Thomas Lee Conner, 56, Mansfield—terroristic threats and acts and cruelty to children-3rd degree.
•Clinton Michael Dunn, 34, Monticello: possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.
•Amanda Hope Bullard, 38, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine, open container and tag light violation.
•Garry Adam Morgan, 34, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.
•Jeremy Miles Bearden, 22, Newborn—probation violation.
•Lonny Marie Cooke, 55, Alpharetta—possession of Schedule IV controlled substance.
•William Franklin Morgan, 38, Jackson—possession of Schedule IV controlled substance.
•James Anthony Cates, 45, Monticello—probation violation.
•Jonas Nigel Smith, 37, Newborn—probation violation, failure to register as a sex offender, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and giving false name, address or birthdate to law enforcement officer.
•Bryan Allen Blankenship, 33, Social Circle—probation violation.
•Tonya Marie Blandon, 41, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, endangering the life of a child while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, open container of alcohol, driving while license suspended or revoked and seat belt violation.
•Justin Tyrone Moore, 40, Monticello—cruelty to children (two counts), and battery (two counts).
•Faith Tarpley, 24, McDonough—hold for warrant in Henry Co.
•Kimberly Lisa Dunn, 57, Monticello—hold for warrant in Newton Co.
