Four Receive Jail Time In Court
Judge Amanda Petty presided over the criminal trial calendar in Jasper Superior Court last month. The following sentences were handed down:
Tavares Jackson was sentenced to 15 years with two years to serve in confinement for two counts of sale of cocaine and possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Seventeen other counts were nolle prossed by the court. He was fined $1,500 and credited with timed served since May 2017.
Joshua Wayne Stephens, sentenced to 48 days in Jasper County jail for disorderly conduct. He was credited for time served since June 2017.
Dana George, sentenced to seven years with first 30 days in Jasper County jail for two counts of sale of marijuana, two counts of illegal use of communication facility, possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Shawn Jackson, probation revoked to 18 months in Georgia Dept. of Corrections for violating probation and was sentenced to five years probation for two additional charges criminal attempt to commit a felony and possession of firearm by convicted felon. He was fined $1,000.
James Robert Lackey, sentenced 10 years of probation for theft by taking felony. Fined $1,500.
Bart Ray, sentenced to eight years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Fined $1,500. For violating his previous probation, he was sentenced to 225 days in jail which was suspended upon entry into an inpatient treatment program.

Joshua Wisner, sentenced to five years of probation for aggravated assault, hindering emergency call, and battery family violence. Fined $1,000.
Rebecca Garrison, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Fined $1,500.
Zachary Moore, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and improper parking. Fined $1,600.
Kayla Smith, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,500.
Bettie Joan Holder, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,000.
Obie Lucky, sentenced to two years of probation for terroristic threats. Fined $700.
Saquena Walton, sentenced to two years of probation for obstruction of officer (misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct. Fined $500.
Christie Hill, sentenced to one year of probation for theft by shoplifting. Fined $400.
Tammy Bonds, sentenced to one year of probation for two nolle prossed charges including possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects and one nolo for possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Fined $500.
Donald Pope, sentenced to one year of probation for drugs not in the original container. Fined $200.
Rodney Snow, sentenced to one year of probation for drugs not in the original container. Fined $500.
Seth Crow, sentenced to one year of probation for failure to yield upon entering roadway with hit an run and reckless driving charges nolle prossed. Fined $200.
Denise Figueroa, sentenced to one year of probation for possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Fined $700.
Gary Cox, sentenced to one year of probation for disorderly conduct. Fined $500.
