JCHS 2018 Graduation Rate Is Up

The Jasper County Charter System is proud to announce that the Class of 2018 attained a record high graduation rate of 84.9 percent.

The Georgia Department of Education released the statewide 2018, four year graduation rate which was 81.6 percent. Deputy State School Superintendent, Dr. Allison Timberlake, shared, “This (graduation rate) continues Georgia’s trend of an improving state graduation rate—congratulations to you and your schools!”

Not only did the JCHS Class of 2018 exceed the state’s graduation rate, a record number of seniors were accepted into post-secondary institutions. Dr. Newton remarked, “I am extremely proud of the hard work of our faculty, staff, students and parents in accomplishing this significant milestone!”

Graduation rates improved for student demographics in the Jasper County Charter System: 92 percent African American students, 83.06 percent white students, 84.27 percent economically disadvantaged students, and 64.71 percent students with disabilities.
