Lois Elaine Elrod

Elaine Elrod, age 67, of Macon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Pruitt Healthcare of Macon.

Elaine Elrod was born in Adgateville, to the late Cicero Jackson Elrod and Edna Francis McMichael Elrod. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Boyd Elrod, Sr.

Elaine Elrod loved her family, especially her son, “Pooh Bear”. She always stated, “I have lived my life to give to others.”

Before retirement, Elaine worked for the Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in Macon, and Bibb County Health Department.

She is survived by her son, Robert Anthony “Tony” (Kelly) Crenshaw of Juliette; granddaughter, Isabel Crenshaw of Juliette; brothers and sister, Lamar Elrod of Georgetown, David Elrod of Mary Esther, Fla., and Phyllis Ayers of Hartwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at West View Cemetery. Pastor Pat Chastain will officiate.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Macon Rescue Mission 770 Hazel Street, Macon, Ga 31201.
