Deputies Investigate Thefts and Fraud Calls

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) had a busy week last week with various types of calls.

The investigated two reports of financial transaction card fraud, as well as the theft of a letter from a mailbox. In addition, there was a report of a resident stealing water from the city. A diamond ring was stolen from an address on Post Road.

A resident on Hwy. 142 reported the theft of a GMC Sierra, and a resident on Morrow Road in Newborn reported numerous tools missing, including a chain saw, welder, MIG welding machine and plasma cutter.

In addition, a residant on Hwy. 83 in Shady Dale reported numerous items missing. In that case, the property owner is not sure when the items were taken…sometime between October 10 and Nov. 4, when the report was made.

•Erin Denise Shumate, 24, Madison—possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of Schedule I or II with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and parole violation.

•Anthony Eugene Parker, 33, Monticello—probation violation.

•Kelly Michelle English, 31, Shady Dale—possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of Schedule I or II with intent to distribute.

•Skyler Jade Price, 27, Newborn—possession of Schedule I or II with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of methamphetamine.

•David Dalton Millwood, 19, Covington—possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of Schedule I or II with intent to distribute.

•Scotty Dale Davis, 59, Newborn—possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Christopher Lance Fowler, Jr., 28, Tucker—probation violation.

•Marcus Mandress Campbell, 37, Monticello—purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana (two counts) and possession of methamphetamine.

•Suzanne Barnes, 46, Monticello—purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana (two counts) and possession of methamphetamine.

•Rhett Leonard Hayman, 32, Monticello—reckless conduct, discharge of firearms on property of another, contributing to delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana less than an ounce and criminal trespass.

•Kelli Lindsay Helderbrand, 28, Covington—probation violation and failure to obey traffic control devices.

•Jonathan Winston Eric Daniel Lee, 27, Forest Park—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Brenda Kay Price, 55, Newborn—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of methamphetamine.

•Christopher Britton Capell, 35, Monticello—probation violation.

•Jennifer Lee Walters, 38, Newborn—hold for warrant in Newton Co.

•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 55, Monticello—criminal trespass.
