Light Case Docket Is Settled
Judge Terry Massey presided over a light docket of cases last Tuesday during the Jasper Superior Court motion day session conducted.
Casey Lynn Muziak was sentenced to two years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and fined $600. Three counts, including crossing the guard line with contraband, possession of controlled substance by inmate, and improper turn at intersection, were nolle prossed.
Patrick Hammonds was sentenced to 60 days of probation for possession of non-tax paid distilled spirits and fined $400.
Probation revocations included:
Oscar Jenkins, revoked to 180 days in Jasper County jail but suspended upon entry into a state probation detention center for 180 days for new offense of battery family violence, simple battery, cruelty to children in the third degree, and disorderly conduct in October 2018. Defendant also failed to report to the probation office, failed to pay court fines and restitution.
Melinda Hill, probation revoked to 60 days in the Jasper County jail for new offense of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in October 2018.
Tiffany Simmons, probation revoked 14 days to Jasper County jail suspended upon payment of overdue court fines.
Judge Massey also established a bond order for Octavious Pennamon who was arrested for numerous drug related charges.
