Frank Joseph Wagner

Frank Joseph Wagner, age 73, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at his residence.

Frank was born in Pichling K?flach, Austria, to the late Frank Joseph Wagner and Elizabeth Ricther Wagner. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.

Frank lived in New York until 1990, when he relocated to Georgia. He lived in the Loganville-Grayson area for 25 years before moving to Monticello over three years ago. He was a custom residential builder for Nash Properties.

Frank was an avid fan of soccer; he enjoyed watching and playing the sport. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Alleman Wagner of Monticello; children, Sherry (Mark) Hawkins of Clay City, Ky., Matthew Wagner of Loganville, Lora Wagner of Monticello, and Diana Kimmel of Loganville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lisa Pertschy of Jefferson, and Chris Metscher of Congers, N.Y.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, at the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Rev. Nathaniel Long will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, prior to the service at Jordan Funeral Home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (StJude.org).
