Ms. Evelyn Wynne Ross

A celebration of life for Ms. Evelyn Wynne Ross was held Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. James A.M.E. Church in Monticello. Rev. Jeremy Head officiated. Rev. Reginald E. Jacobs, Sr., is pastor.

Ms. Ross was born August 18, 1961, and she died on December 16, 2018.

Ms. Ross attended Piney Grove in Senoia. She obtained her education from the Job Corps of Albany. She was a private health care worker and enjoyed cooking, making people laugh, dressing up and dancing. One thing for sure, she never met a stranger she couldn’t make smile with her infectious personality.

Ms. Ross was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel “Bud” Ross and Lula Belle Ross; brothers, Charles Dumas, Samuel N. Ross Jr., Isaiah Ross and Demette Standifer.

Survivors include a daughter, Consuaula Ross of Jackson; son, Cornelius Bailey of Rutledge; granddaughters, Jamee McGuire, Millennium Jackson, and Te’Raji Brown of Jackson, and Conileia Bailey of Monroe; great-grandson, Connor Delancey of Jackson; sisters, Ella Pearl Head (Ben) of Jackson, Patricia Carey (Dan) of Shady Dale, Camilla Goodrum (Roger) of Jackson, Minnie Lawrence of Monticello, Erica Smith (Jimmie) of Monticello, and Sheila Ross of Forsyth; brothers Carey Ross and Tony Ross of Monticello and Donnis Davis (Gladys) of Stone Mountain, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
