Tommy James Glover

Tommy James Glover, age 68, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Navicent Medical Center in Macon.

Funeral services were held January 12 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with interment in South View Cemetery. Bishop Nolan Tolbert officiated.

Mr. Glover was born January 5, 1951 in Jasper County to the late James and Mattie Moreland Glover. He joined Community Church of Jesus at an early age and was ordained as their pastor in August 1982. He attended Jasper County High School and Griffin Technical College. He was employed by Bibb Manufacturing, Retreat Nursing Home, and Georgia Pacific.

Mr. Glover was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters—Ruby Lee, Bertha Kate, and Bessie Mae Glover.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Ross Glover; three sisters, Annie Ruth Glover of Monticello, Doris Jordan of Eatonton, and Gail Diane Torbert (Bishop Nolan) of Auburn, Al.; brother, Henry Franklin Glover of Monticello; sisters-in-law, Bernice Thomas and Eddie Mae Hardwick (Horace), both of Monticello; brother-in-law, Harvey Ross of Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom served as pallbearers and flower attendants.
