CELEBRATING 100 YEARS

Lillie Kate Peacock turns 100 years old today, Jan. 31. She was born on January 31, 1919 in Shady Dale. Mrs. Peacock has five living children—Barbara Johnson of Rutledge, Lillie Mae Peacock of Jackson, Annie Lois Stokes of Lithonia, Angie Lee Smith of Shady Dale, and Linda Horton of Covington. The Jasper County native will celebrate her birthday with her children in Shady Dale this Saturday, Feb. 2. She was married to the late Howard Peacock. The centenarian has 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
