Rob Allgood To Play College Baseball

Rob Allgood has a been a key member of the Piedmont Academy championship baseball program in recent years and now has his post-high school journey mapped out.
Allgood officially signed to continue his athletic and academic careers at Covenant College in scenic Lookout Mountain. The Diamond Cougar standout made his commitment official recently as his family, coaches and teammates looked on in support.
“Rob had been a key player for us ever since he stepped on campus,” Piedmont coach Colt Spivey said. “He had every intangible you could ask for. He is the kind of kid you want on the field for you and in the dugout.”
Allgood has helped the Diamond Cougars to a fast start in 2019 as they are once again a favorite to contend for a GISA Class AA state championship.
Spivey said he believes Allgood will adjust well to playing at the next level.
During the signing the Piedmont baseball standout was joined by Cougar baseball coaches Colt Spivey and Cameron Vaughn, former coach Wes Tanner, parents Robbie and Brandi and his sister, Jaley.
Covenant College is a Christian-based liberal arts school which fields several athletic teams.
