Persons Are Arrested
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated a case of identity fraud, along with several burglaries in the last week. In Shady Dale, a resident reported the theft of a Chevy Cruze as well as a television, two chain saws, and many other saws of various types, jewelry and sound bar, and miscellaneous other items, mostly tools and yard items, after he had been out of town for a few days. A suspect has been identified.
A television was also taken from an address on Blue Ruin Street. In addition, a billfold and battery were taken from a vehicle on Forest Service Road 1013.
Persons who were arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Benjamin Clark Kraft, 55 Covington—crossing guard lines with weapons/intoxicants/or drugs, possession of Schedule I controlled substance, tail light violation and driving without a valid license.
•Michael Oneal Lyons, 52, Shady Dale—disorderly conduct.
•David Elsworth Rogers, 53, Stockbridge—possession of methamphetamine (two counts), open container, drug related objects and failure to maintain lane.
•Mark Dewayne Digby, 40, Monticello—forgery-1st degree, conspiracy to commit a felony, theft by taking and parole violation.
•Randy Lamar Lewis, 50, Monticello—forgery-1st degree, conspiracy to commit a felony and theft by taking.
•Jesse Garrett Shirley, 27, Cannon—probation violation.
•Makayla Marie Rollen, 29, Covington—hold for warrant in Morgan Co.
•Destin Anthony Lee Breaux, 25, Covington—driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Joshua Kent Toney, 28, Lagrange—financial transaction card theft, financial transaction card fraud and theft by taking.
•Christopher Jennings Clark, 44, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Scott Lee Duckett, 48, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•Jerimy Joshua Mann, 41, Covington—probation violation.
•Matthew Conan Barber, 35, Monticello—simple battery (two counts) and brake light violation.
•Margaret Jean East, 5, Flovilla—probation violation.
