Judge Sentences Many Defendants This Week
Monday was a busy and long day at the Courthouse as the Jasper Superior Court’s criminal trial calendar was reviewed by Judge Amanda Petty. No trials will follow this week.
Joseph Clinton Kirkpatrick received the heftiest sentence of the day with 10 years of confinement of a 25 year sentence for two counts of child molestation. A charge of incest was nolle prossed. He was fined $1,000 and given credit for time served since September 2018.
Sydney Lynn Brock was also sentenced to prison confinement with two years of a 10 year sentence to serve for burglary in the second degree, criminal damage to property in the second degree and possession of a drug related object. Fined $500 with $3,800 to pay in restitution.
Defendants receiving probation and/or minor jail time include:
•Michael Dempsey, six years of probation for three counts of possession of methamphetamine and no proof of insurance. Fined $2,000.
•Rodney Snow, five years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and crossing the guard line with contraband. Four charges including burglary in the first and second degree, possession of marijuana, and crossing the guard line with contraband were nolle prossed. Fined $1,000.
•David Childers, five years of probation for possession of marijuana with three other charges nolle prossed. Fined $2,000.
•Joshua Williams, four years with the first 210 days in Jasper County jail for possession of methamphetamine and giving false information to an officer. Fined $1500 and credited with time served since December 2018.
•John Thomason, three years of probation with the first 110 days in Jasper County jail for three counts of criminal trespass with two other counts nolle prossed. He was credited with time served since April 2019.
•Joseph Hickok, three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine with one charge of the same nolle prossed. Fined $1,000.
•Ashley Enrique, three years of probation for four counts of financial transaction card theft. Four counts of criminal attempt to commit a felony were nolle prossed. Fined $1,000 and ordered to pay restitution of $66.
•Victoria Gordy, three years of probation for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug related objects. Fined $1,500.
•Aubrey Harrison, three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, driving with no license on person, driving on wrong side of roadway. Fined $1,500.
•Matthew Ford, three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and giving false information to a law enforcement officer. Fined $1,500.
•Clinton Brock Lummus, three years for possession of schedule II substance Fined $1,000
•Lois Gignac, three years of probation for three separate cases involving three counts of criminal trespass on one case, forgery in the fourth degree and criminal trespass on another, and simple battery on another. Fined $700.
•Mark Hand, three years or probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,500.
•Tony Tant, three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,500.
•John Krienke, two years of probation with the first day in Jasper County jail for driving under the influence and disorderly conduct. Fined $600.
•Joshua Haney, two years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $600.
•Mollithia Person, two years of probation for two counts of theft by taking. Ordered to pay restitution of $2,500.
•Alvonte Ammons, two years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Fined $800.
•Wetonia Maddox, two years of probation for Possession of cocaine with attempting to elude an officer and failure to stop at sign were nolle prossed. Fined $800.
•Eric Ghrist, two years of probation for possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Fined $700.
•Nicholas Ramey, two years of probation for possession of methamphetamine with possession of drug related object, speeding, and failure to wear seat belt were nolle prossed. Fined $600.
•Karen Hunt, two years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $700.
•John Keasler, one year of probation with the first 72 hours in Jasper County jail for driving under the influence. Fined $800.
•Damian Cloud, one year of probation for possession of marijuana. Fined $500.
•Anthony Vasquez, one year of probation for possession of marijuana. Fined $300.
•Michael Lyons, one year of probation for public drunkenness. Fined $200.
•Michael Campbell, one year of probation for possession of a drug related object. Fined $500.
•Jessica Shuman, one year of probation for giving false information to a law enforcement officer. Fined $400.
•John Richardson, one year of probation for reckless conduct with a reckless driving charge nolle prossed. Fined $500.
Also four pre-trial diversions were ordered including Samantha Rutherford for obstruction of an officer, Quiunca Hardeman for giving false information to a law enforcement officer, Princess Simon for identity fraud, and Selena Robinson for identity fraud.

From the August 6 motion day calendar, Judge Petty ordered the following criminal sentences:
•Robert Moore, Jr., sentenced to serve two years of 20 years in confinement for five counts of criminal damage to property in the second degree and three counts of theft by taking. Ordered to pay restitution of $23,000 to two victims and credited with time served since February 2018.
•Kevin Wayt, sentenced to 10 years with the first 90 days in Jasper County jail suspended upon 180 days in state probation detention center for two counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, two counts of obstruction of an officer, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and driving while license suspended.
•Connor McClendon, sentenced to 10 years of probation for criminal attempt to commit statutory rape and computer pornography.
Christopher Fowler, Jr., probation revocation to two years in the state penal system for being terminated from the Bainbridge substance abuse treatment program in March.
