TOP RUNNERS

DeMario Thomas and Mari Jablonski were recognized by the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) as Runners of the Week after their performance at the Jones County Invitational.

Thomas had a time of 17:33 and Jablonski won with a time of 20:39 at Greyhound/Release the Hounds meet held in Gray. They also set school records and won first place again last Thursday at the GMC Bulldog Invitational. Coach Adam Bradley said, “I’m very pleased with the progress of our teams. Coach Dorothy Dalton works with the girls and we have about 40 runners who are competing and setting personal records every week.” Coach Bradley promised any runner who set a personal record (PR) at the Greene County Tiger Invitational meet that he would buy them a t-shirt.

The Hurricane Cross Country Team had 18 runners that posted a PR, so Coach Bradley personally bought them all meet t-shirts. The next meet will be today, Sept. 26 at the Redskin Invitational.
