Superior Court Sentences Are Listed
It was a very light day of Jasper Superior Court action last Tuesday as Judge Brenda Trammell reviewed the motion day, criminal and child support dockets.
Ronnie Barner had his probation revoked to the state penal system for committing the new offense of aggravated assault and affray while incarcerated, failure to report to the probation office, changing residence without permission, and failure to pay court fees.
Michael Samuel Petty, probation revoked to two years in the state penal system for committing new offenses of battery, hindering persons making emergency telephone call, and possession of schedule II controlled substance. He also changed residence without permission and has failed to pay court fees.
Jimmy Lee Jackson, probation revoked to 120 days in Jasper County jail (JCJ) for changing residence without permission and failure to pay court fees.
The following are the results from the October 22 motion day session with Judge William Prior, Jr.
Justin Bowles, sentenced to 10 years with the first three years to serve in confinement for eight counts including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, possession of ectasy with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, crossing the guard line with contraband, driving while license suspended, tampering with evidence, obstruction of an officer, possession of marijuana (less than ounce). Fined $2,000 and credited with time served since April 2019.
Donald Jared Copelan, sentenced to 12 months of probation for disorderly conduct. Fined $500.
Frederick King, sentenced to 12 months of probation for two counts of giving false information to an officer. Fined $400.
Courtney Queen, sentenced to 12 months of probation for theft by taking. Fined $400 and ordered to pay restitution of $420.
Kiefer Wood, probation revoked to 90 days in JCJ for new offense of battery in June 2019.
Nichole Lewis, probation revoked to state penal system for new offenses in Taliaferro County.
Kristopher Armistead, probation revoked to the state penal system for new offense of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer in Crisp County. Sentence suspended upon successful completion of Sober Living America program.
Dustin Trice, probation revoked to 94 days in JCJ for failure to report to probation, failure to complete community service, and failure to pay court fees.
Christie Hill, probation revoked to 60 days in JCJ for failure to report to probation, failure to complete community service, and pay court fees.
