Loretta Arlene Seales Pope

Loretta Arlene Seales Pope, age 80, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.

Arlene Pope was born and raised in Sparta, the daughter of the late Robert Furman Seales and Louise Chapman Seales. She moved to Jasper County in 1964 after marrying Lynwood Pope.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynwood Ardell Pope, two brothers and one sister.

Arlene was of the Baptist faith and played piano for several churches including Enon Baptist Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, riding horses and her motorcycle.

She is survived by her daughters, Penny Lynne Campbell and Miriam Loretta (Hitesh Patel) Pope of Monticello; grandchildren, Anthony Darrell Pope, Myles (Jena) Campbell, Christopher Pope, Autumn Pope, Dee Clay and Marquis Adams; and great-grandchildren, Keylon Pope, Brayden Hinds, Bristyen Denny, Braylyen Denny, Brentsyen Denny, Brantsyen Campbell and Easton Cabe.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Rev. Jeremy Tondee and Pastor David Williams will officiate.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Abbey Hospice 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, Ga. 30025.
