Ms. Shelia Pennamon Dennis

A celebration of life for Shelia Pennamon Dennis, who died November 1, 2019 was held Friday, Nov. 8, at Greenwood Baptist Church. Bishop Nicholas Curry, pastor, was eulogist. Burial was in South View Cemetery.

Shelia Roselle Pennamon Dennis was born on April 13, 1971 in Monticello to the parents of Harvey L. Pennamon and the late Cherry Louise Mitchell.

She departed this life at Grady Health Systems in Atlanta.

Shelia attended Jasper County High School where she ran track and played basketball. She was married to the love of her life, the late Tyrone Dennis.

She was employed by Georgia-Pacific Guard Shack for several years and Hardee’s. Shelia was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. A fun loving person, life of the party, and had compassion for people. Some of her hobbies were cooking, playing softball and volleyball.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Mitchell; her husband, Tyrone Dennis, and her grandparents.

Shelia leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Tierra Pennamon of Milledgeville, India Pennamon and Sakya Dennis, both of Monticello; two sons, Octavious Pennamon and Darnell Standifer, both of Monticello; two granddaughters, Marlie and Ajhuni; father, Harvey L. Pennamon; grandmother, Essie M. Mitchell, both of Monticello; three sisters, Melissa Derricho (Oscar) of Shady Dale, Lydia Pennamon of Covington, and Dana Pennamon of Waycross; two nieces, Tatyana and Amber; four nephews, Taurez, TyQuan, Tyree, and Quentadrian; a Godson Amakua Vinson; a God-brother, Tony Nix, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
