TOTAL LOSS; NO ONE HURT

Early on the morning of November 7, Jasper County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 5880 Hwy. 212 West. The call was received by the Jasper County 911 center at 04:51 and dispatched fire units at 04:53 with the first arriving fire unit at 05:04 to find a fully involved single story structure. All occupants were out of the residence upon arrival and no injuries were reported. Cause of the fire is underdetermined and still under investigation.

Responding units were Engine 1 – Chief Christopher Finch, Engine 3 – Asst. Chief James Ray, Engine 7 FF-EMT-I Chris Tuck and Lt. James Futral, Tanker 2 – Battalion Chief Alvin McMichael, Medic 3 – FF Paramedic Shawn Holmes and FF Paramedic Rodney Creedon, Medic 1- FF Paramedic Lynn Brown and FF-TRN Paramedic Robert Aarstad, Tanker 3- Chief Christopher Finch and the following responded in their personnel vehicles FF-AEMT Maritsa Bell, A/Capt. Paramedic Christina Bramlett, FF-TRN Jenny Oxford and FF-TRN Timothy Mofield.

Jasper County Fire Rescue urges everyone to check their smoke detectors.

Jasper County Fire Rescue responded to 823 Dykes Rd on November 10 for a report of structure fire. Call was received by Jasper County 911 at 03:39 and fire units were dispatched at 03:40 with the first arriving engine at 03:53. Engine 2 arrived on scene to find a fully involved barn that had six vehicles inside. The barn and vehicles were a complete loss and cause of the fire is unknown. No injuries were reported. Engine 1, Engine 3, Engine 2, Engine 7, Tanker 2, Medic 3 and Medic 1 responded.
