Burglary Suspects Caught
On November 17, at about 1 p.m., Jasper County deputies responded to Parrot Court in Turtle Cove in reference to a burglary, according to an announcement from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).
The doors to the residence had been forced open and several items were found to be missing.
On November 19, Ronald Beatty and Samantha Denny were arrested in Covington on fraud charges related to the burglary, and also had additional items from the burglary on their persons, said the announcement. The stolen items that were recovered were returned to the homeowners in Jasper County.
The JCSO is still actively investigating additional information related to the burglary.
Previously, in the early hours of November 10, an armed robbery and theft was reported on Jackson Lake Road. JCSO officials arrived shortly thereafter. After following leads from the case, a joint collaboration with Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Butts County Sheriff’s Office began after it was found that the suspects were not from Jasper County.
Agarion Watson, 17, of Jackson and Nicholas Epps, 20, of Forsyth were arrested and charged with armed robbery with additional charges pending as the case develops on this and additional theft cases in Jasper County.
This is still an ongoing investigation, and any person with additional information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Division of the JCSO, at 706-468-4912.
