Don Jernigan Seeks Re-Election

Jasper County Commissioner Don Jernigan has announced his bid for reelection.

He was elected in March, 2017 and has worked effectively with his fellow commissioners to improve services to Jasper County citizens without raising the millage rate, while improving roadways and making sure departmental staffs keep up to date with requests for code enforcement to keep our county clean.

He also works closely with public works to keep their equipment, training and manpower up to date so they can do their jobs, maintain residential zoning and making sure that Jasper County will welcome new industry and businesses to keep jobs at home while adhering to land use requirements.

Utmost is to keep our county safe, and working with Sheriff Donnie Pope and his department is very important to Mr. Jernigan. He will always work in cooperation with Monticello and Shady Dale city governments. In the future as well as today, he will keep Jasper County financially responsible.
