Thefts Are Investigated

Jasper County deputies responded to several reports of theft in the last week, and the Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reminds people particularly at this time of year it is important to lock your homes.

Sometime between November 18 and December 9, numerous items were taken from an address on Cason Lane. Stolen were a vehicle, cash, jewelry, tools, a three-wheeler, autographed baseball and more.

Another burglary occurred on Raby Road, and the perpetrators were arrested.

Drugs were reported missing from an address on Sourwood Drive in Mansfield, and a trail cam and American flag were taken from an address on Barnes Mountain Road, also Mansfield. A rifle was taken from an address on Grandview.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Ricky Dale Johnson, 41, Monticello—probation violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.

•James Robert Puckett, 32, Bethlehem—probation violation.

•Michael O’Neal Lyons, 53, Shady Dale—probation violation.

•Ryan Travis Sutton, 30, Monticello—hold for warrant in Cherokee County.

•William Harold Spradling, 49, Monticello—obscene telephone contact with a child.

•Michael Anthony Dempsey, 20, Covington—probation violation.

•Johnny Richard Horton, 27, Covington—probation violation.

•Rebecca Lynn Garrison, 45, Newborn—probation violation.

•Antony Kyle Smith, 30, Monticello—probation violation.

•Larandy Steven Smith, 37, Monticello—public indecency and public drunkenness.

•Selena Elizabeth Honigford, 42, Jackson—possession of methamphetamine (two counts).

•Randall Aaron Couey, 41, Jackson—possession of methamphetamine (3 counts), crossing guard lines with weapon/drugs/intoxicants, burglary-1st degree and criminal trespass.

•Ashley Nicole Van Horn, 24, Monticello—cruelty to animals.

•Samantha Denise Denny, 37, Covington—burglary-1st degree.

•Keith Allen Tournier, 49, Monticello—battery.

•Lisa Summer Cox, 23, Monticello—probation violation.

•Katie Marie Moore, 26, Monroe—probation violation.

•Ashley Renea Enrique, 24, Monticello—probation violation.
