Judge Burleson Sentences Several

Judge Alison Burleson presided over the January 28 motion day, criminal and child support services calendars of Jasper Superior Court. The following sentences were ordered:

•Joseph Michaud, II, sentenced to one and a half years in a Department of Corrections facility for possession of methamphetamine. He was credited for time served from November 2017 until February 2019 and November 2019 until currently.

•Charlotte Christian, sentenced to 10 years of probation for sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and two counts of possession of firearm by convicted felon. Fined $2,000.

•Jeremiah Staples, sentenced to four years of probation for two counts of entering an automobile and one count of financial transaction card fraud as two counts of criminal attempt to commit a felony were nolle prossed. Fined $500 and ordered to pay restitution of $622.

•Richard Moorhouse, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine as one count of same charge was nolle prossed. Fined $750.

•Dakota Mullins, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. Fined $1,000.

•Jonathan Wilson, sentenced to two years of probation for possession of marijuana and charges of terroristic threats and possession of a schedule I controlled substance were nolle prossed. Fined $700.

Shanae Williams, sentenced to two years of probation for two counts of theft by taking. Fined $500 and ordered to pay restitution of $2,001.

Oscar Jenkins, sentenced to two years of probation for battery, simple battery, and disorderly conduct in addition to having his previous probation revoked to the Jasper County jail (JCJ) until June 2020 for new offense of failure to appear in court, failure to pay court fines, and failure to pay restitution.

Richard Williams, sentenced to 12 months of probation with the first 10 days in JCJ for driving while license suspended. Fined $1,000.

Probation revocations included:

Charles Blalock, revoked 184 to JCJ which suspended upon completion of the Next Step Program and completion of family violence intervention program for failure to complete the in-patient substance abuse treatment program previously while testing positive for drugs.

Timothy Holbert, Jr., probation revoked to 180 days in JCJ which was suspended upon entry into a long term in-patient program for a minimum of six months or until completion for a positive drug test, failure to adhere to curfew, and failure to report to the probation office.

Judge Burleson also ordered pre-trial diversions for Carly Cloud and Braden Mullins.

Judge Terry Massey presided over the January 14 motion day and criminal calendar dockets issuing the following sentences:

Quinton L. Horton was sentenced to 24 months of probation for two separate Superior Court cases. The first case involved charges of reckless conduct and discharge of a gun near highway for which he was fined $350 and ordered to pay restitution of $150. The second case included charges of simple assault and terroristic threats which was nolle prossed.

Quincy T. Sands, probation revoked to 180 days in Jasper County jail (JCJ) which was suspended upon entry into a state probation detention center for 120-180 days for new offense of possession of marijuana, positive drug test, failure to report to the probation office, failure to complete community service, and failure to pay court fines.

Michael Holder, probation revoked to 90 days in JCJ for failure to report to the probation office, failure to complete community service, and failure to pay court fines.

Ashley Enrique, probation revoked to 30 days in JCJ for new offense of failure to appear in Rockdale County court, positive drug test, and failure to appear to the Winder court.

John Thomason, ordered to attend two narcotics/alcoholic anonymous meetings per week and submit to monthly drug testing following a positive drug and alcohol test.
