Roy Talmadge Johnston

Roy Talmadge Johnston, age 72, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at his nephew’s residence in Lizella, Ga.

Roy Johnston was born in Eatonton, on September 13, 1947. His parents were the late Robert Bryant Johnston, Sr. and Mattie Floy Harrell Johnston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Faulkner Johnston; and brothers and sister, Robert B. Johnston, Jr., John Wright Johnston and Julia Johnston Whitten.

Before retirement, he managed Happy Valley Farms in Monticello.

He is survived by his son, Bryant B. Johnston and daughter, Brianno J. Lee; step-daughter, Erin (Tyler) Long of Monticello; step-grandchildren, Brooke Wayt and Grayson Long; brother, Joseph Hulon Johnston of Monticello; sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Lucas of Jeffersonville; and a number of nieces and nephews including Bobby Kelly of Lizella.
