John H. Jones

John H. Jones, born January 12, 1951, passed away April 7, 2020 of heart failure. He was a resident of Monticello.

He was a member of Callie Fuller Baptist Church, born in East Point, to John D. Jones and Blanche Smith. He was a veteran who served in the Army and Marines.

His loving wife, Linda Diane Jones, passed away this year also on January 11, 2020.

He is survived by daughter, Sharon Hamby of Tennessee and son, John Jones of Georgia and daughter, Yvonne Collins of Tennessee, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed he is gone however will not be forgotten.

In lieu of funeral service a public memorial will take place at a later date. This will be held at Callie Fuller Baptist Church by pastor Charles Roper. The date for this will be announced in the paper at a later time.

Jordan’s Funeral Home was in charge of funeral preparations.

In lieu of flowers and memorials please send funds to Callie Fuller Baptist Church, 2690 Hwy. Ga. 212 West, Monticello, Ga. 31064 in memory of John H. Jones. In these uncertain times it would be especially greatly appreciated–I’m sure he would want this for his church.

We would like to end with this. Romans 8:38-39 for I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our lord.
