Court Sentences One

Jasper Superior Court conducted a hearing for a sole defendant involved in two separate cases on June 30, under the jurisdiction of Judge Terry Massey.

Kenneth Standifer, who agreed to a plea deal for both cases, was sentenced to four years with the first 30 days in Jasper County jail for one count of aggravated stalking and one count of violation of a family violence order. He was credited for time served since May 31, 2020 and fined $1,000.

In addition to the standard probation conditions, Mr. Standifer was instructed to undergo a mental heath evaluation and receive treatment if deemed necessary, prohibited from engaging in conduct relevant to stalking or aggravated stalking, and prohibited from engaging with his stalking victim.
