Arrests Are Reported

Several persons filed reports of financial card fraud in the last week, with it being a very common occurrence these days.

A resident on Johnny Fears Road not only had card fraud, but someone stole substantial cash, household goods, a tablet, tools, and school clothes.

A generator was reported stolen from an address on Fred Smith Street.

The Monticello News office had a visitor…someone sat in the driveway writing a long letter which he then put through the door of The News office. He also left a laptop, supposedly belonging to someone else and the charger cord to the laptop.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Hollie Danielle Hawkins, 29, Hillsboro—possession of Schedule I controlled substance.

•Garey Williams, 27, Covington—possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and failure to maintain lane.

•Jerry Lee Boswell, 27, Madison—aggravated assault, simple battery and battery.

•Austin Alexander Moon-ey, 20, Warner Robins—probation violation, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and public indecency-1st or 2nd offense.

•Grace Maria Potter, 23, Key Ferry—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Jason Kelly Freeman, 42, McDonough—probation violation.

•Dylon Phillip Comer, 22, McDonough—probation violation.

•Amber Renee Vorhies, 34, McDonough—probation violation.

•Dontravious Rashaad Thompson, 19, Shady Dale—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs under the age of 21, no insurance, failure to maintain lane and open container.

•Arden Mikhail Cowan, 33, Eatonton—terroristic threats and acts, simple battery and obstruction of law enforcement officer.
