Few Arrests Made this Week

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated several incidents in the last week, as well as conducting traffic stops and responding to calls.

Deputies received two reports of stolen cars in the last week, and one stolen car was located. There was also an incident of entering an auto, and a tag was taken from an auto on Spruce Street.

A resident on Banks Street reported a burglary of a significant number of tool boxes and tools. In addition, deputies are investigating a case of mail fraud.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Tarina Faye Lawson, 48, Jackson—no tag or expired tag.

•Jermangelo Antrell Thomas, 37, Monticello—cruelty to children-3rd degree (two counts) and simple battery.

•Garry Adam Morgan, 36, Monticello—probation violation.

•Frank Lackey, 63, Monticello—battery.
