Winner Is Only One with 11 Right
Last week’s football contest proved to be a little tougher, with 13 games being played, and only two players scoring well enough to get their names on the honor roll.
And of those two, Joanna Jones was the only player to correctly guess the winner in as many as 11 games listed. For her effort, she picked up a $25 prize from Jan Gaston at the Primary Care Center in Monticello.
Ms. Jones says she plays sporadically. She said the guys at Frank’s Restaurant which her family owns play every week, and she sometimes takes part. Well, last week was one of those weeks, and boy was she lucky. She said she doesn’t do a lot of homework. She picks the local schools to win, along with the Georgia Bulldogs. She picked Tennessee to win cause her favorite country music star, Kenny Chesney, is from Tennessee, she said.
Whatever her method, it worked last week.
The other player to make honor roll was Saniyah Bullard.
This week offers players another chance to win a $25 prize and bragging rights, as well as having his or her name added to the grand prize honor roll. This week’s prize sponsor is Monticello Drugs/Dana Leach Realty, so one lucky winner will collect a prize from them next Monday.
