Cases Are Heard in Superior Court Here
Ocmulgee District Judge Alison Burleson presided over a light docket of Jasper Superior Court cases on October 27.
•William Jonier Dooley was sentenced to five years of probation for theft by taking and ordered to pay $2,500 in restitution to a victim.
•Michael Hinton, probation revoked to 180 days, which was suspended upon entry into a Probation Detention Center for 150 days.
•Dustin Jeffrey, probation revoked to 120 days in Jasper County jail for failure to report to probation, and failure to make regular court payments, failure to complete alcohol/drug evaluation. Will be credited for time served and upon release must complete an alcohol and drug evaluation within 30 days and begin family, violence intervention program within 14 days.
•Dana George, probation revoked to 90 days in jail for failure to complete substance abuse treatment, failure to make court payments, and positive drug tests.
On October 20, Judge Amanda Petty presided over a handful of civil and criminal cases.
•Michael Anthony Boone, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine in addition to 250 days in jail for violating probation with the new offense. He was given credit for time served since May 2019.
•Rebecca Garrison, sentenced to 180 days in jail suspended upon entry into a longterm in-patient substance abuse treatment program.
•Jerrilyn Edwards, probation revoked to 90 days in jail suspended upon entry into a longterm in-patient substance abuse treatment program.
•Calvin Martellis Jones, probation revoked to 45 days in jail for positive drug tests, failure to complete substance abuse evaluation, and failure to complete community service.
Judge Brenda Trammell presided over the October 13 court calendar.
•Tommy Lee Kell, was sentenced to three years of probation with the first 100 days in jail for three counts of obstruction of an officer. He was fined $500 and credited with time served since June 2020.
•Christina Dunn, probation revoked to 150 days in jail which was suspended upon entry into a longterm in-patient substance abuse treatment program for failure to report to probation, change of address without notification, positive drug test, and failure to pay court fees.
•Justin Bridwell, probation revoked to 30 days in jail which was suspended upon entry into and completion of the Ocmulgee ATTC program. He failed to pay court fees, failed to report to probation, and committed a new offense in Putnam County.
