Howell Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Wilkins

Howell Kenneth Wilkins, age 62, of Monticello, passed away on December 5, 2020.

Kenny was born on June 28, 1958 in Duluth, to the late Buddy Wilkins and Martha Jo Wilkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Wilkins and Lesley Wilkins.

Kenny attended Stone Mountain High School and retired from Gwinnett County as a Planning and Development Inspector in 2006.

Kenny “Pawpaw” enjoyed gardening and his greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters that he loved above all.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Wilkins; sons, Kory Wilkins of Loganville and Kyle Wilkins of Monticello; brothers, Wesley Wilkins of Elberton and Dan Wilkins of Monticello; sister, Joann Glyness Ray of Midlothian, Va.; aunt, Ann Mauldin of Stone Mountain; three granddaughters, Emily Wilkins, Ella Wilkins and Annistyn Wilkins; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives/friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at West View Cemetery in Monticello. Rev. Bert Ray will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Wilkins, Wesley Wilkins, Daniel Duncum, Chad Mobley, Steven Graham and Joshua Ray.
