Cathrean F. ‘Cat’ Ware

A celebration of the life of Cathrean F. “Cat” Ware who died January 2, 2021, was to be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 at noon at King Chapel Community Church Cemetery, 5440 Ga Hwy 11 South in Hillsboro. Rev. Terry Glawson, eulogist. Interment at King Chapel Cemetery.

She was born on June 5, 1932 to the late Bob and Emma Freeman in Jasper County. Married at an early age to Willie Albert Ware, Sr., they became the parents of two children. She joined Rock Zion Church in Monticello with her husband and was a very active member until they closed the doors.

For over 30 years, she worked at the Jasper Memorial Hospital (Retreat Nursing Home) until she became employed with the Bibb Manufacturing Company and in that same year, the Porterdale Bibb Company, until she retired. Later she worked for the Thurman Willis family.

Her passions were helping in the church and raising flowers.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Willie Albert Ware, Jr. (Laverne Chism); daughter, Josephine Ware Norwood (Willie James Norwood). Seven grandchildren, McKenzie, Kimberly, Willie, Jr., Darmon, Travis, Demetria and Tasha; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two nieces, Katherine Freeman and Felecia Jackson. Also, many other relatives and friends.
