Reed Has Big Game

The Piedmont Academy Middle School boys basketball team got a 23-point performance by Hudson Reed but were unable to overcome visiting Gatewood last Friday.

Reed’s point total was a game-high mark but the Cougars fell 53-33. Tripp McMichael added three points for Piedmont with Trent Jones and Camden Moss both finishing with two. Gavin McCart added a free throw.

Reed scored four points in the opening quarter with nine more in the second. An addition six points in the third quarter and four in the final quarter propelled him to his 23-point total.

The Middle School Cougars return to the court on Thursday against John Milledge Academy on the road. The game is schedule to begin at 4:30 p.m.
