Gary A. Pennamon

A celebration of life for Gary Arsenio Pennamon, who died January 26, 2021, was held February 5 at South View Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Horton officiated.

Mr. Pennamon was born on June 21, 1990 to Jacqueline L. Willis and LeTony Starr. The late Annie Pennamon and Herman Pennamon raised him.

Gary attended high school in Hawkinsville. He was known for being a happy person and always kept a smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Jackson and Martin Leonate Sands.

Survivors include his mother, Jacqueline Willis of Milledgeville and Monticello; father, LeTony Starr of Atlanta; four children, Aailayah Pennamon Womble of Milledgeville, Jasmine Pennamon Applegate of Eatonton, Imouri Pennamon of Augusta, and Mekhi Jackson, also of Augusta; brothers, Brad Willis and Frederica Williams; sisters. Carol Pennamon, Serra Willis, Diamond Tripp and Kierston Starr; grandparents, Tim and Bonnie Mullins of Monticello and Roger and Angela Starr of Covington; a special aunt, Johnnie Mae Goolsby, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
