JCMS Track Teams Host PAC Championship Meet
The Jasper County Middle School track program hosted the Piedmont Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships on Saturday.
Schools represented included Morgan County Middle School, Putnam County Middle School, Loganville Middle School, Carver Middle School, Social Circle Middle School, Youth Middle School and JCMS.
Ariyah Burke was the winner in the shot put competition with a throw of 31-01.5 and also took second in the discus with a mark of 68-01.
Stevi Davis won second for the Lady Canes in the 100-meter dash in 13.70. The 4×100-meter relay team was also second in 54.33. De’Asia Banks took third in the long jump (13-11.50).
Khayden Hope was fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.97 and sixth in the 200-meter run in 29.83.
For the JCMS boys, Demajah Driskell was third the 100-meter dash in 12.04. Larry Dumas was also third in the 400-meter run in 57.92.
Driskell took fourth place in the long jump (16-09). Dylan Brimberry was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (19.73) and sixth in the 3,200-meter run (13:23.58). Arrington Bostic was sixth in the 800-meter run (2:37.76).
Both relay teams were fifth for the JCMS boys during the event.
