Mrs. Christie Maria Thomas Hill
A celebration of life for Mrs. Christie Maria Thomas Hill, who died April 7, 2021, was held Saturday, April 17 at South View Cemetery in Monticello. Rev. Dr. Donna Marie Calix officiated.
Mrs. Hill was a native of Monticello, born to Harrison Thomas, Sr., and Belvary J. Thomas on June 12, 1986. She was the youngest of three children.
In her youth, Christie committed her life to Christ. She became a member of St. James A.M.E. Church. She was joined and baptized by Rev. Jimmy Horton, as she desired. She attended Sunday school and church services. Christie also sang in St. James A.M.E. Youth Choir and served in other capacities.
Mrs. Hill received her education from Jasper County public school system, and at Fort Valley State University. Christie was known for being a good-hearted, compassionate, loving, thoughtful, giving, and outgoing person. She loved helping others.
She married Kyle Hill, and they had two sons, Caden and Collin.

Thomas (Julie); sister, Shirtina Thomas; stepsister, LaToya Johnson; grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Thomas; nephews, Jared Quenga (Ilima), Alvarez Thomas, Jr., and Lane Thomas; great-nephews, Titan Quenga and Oceano Thomas; uncle Robert Jones; aunts, Inell J. Jackson, Anna J. Hall and Shirley J. Hall, also other relatives and friends.
