Charlie LeNorris Gude, Jr.

Charlie LeNorris Gude, Jr. was granted his heavenly wings on April 20, 2021. His final days were surrounded by his family with whom he loved and cherished dearly.

A celebration of life service was held Monday, April 26 from the graveside at South View Cemetery, 1000 South View Street, Monticello. Rev. Morris Smith officiated.

Charlie “Duke” enjoyed life, his family, friends, cooking and partying with the January Club. He also enjoyed spending time in his man cave with the “youngins.”

At a very young age, Charlie joined Springfield Baptist Church. He loved to come to hear his son Shaun sing. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dorothy Gude.

Charlie is survived by his children, DeAntron “Shaun” Gude of Lithonia; Marquavin Gude of Monticello, and Brandi Bostick of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Qurdea, Makayla, Makyle, Makenzie, Makorey, Malani, Mariah and Corben; one sister, Latoya Gude of Monticello; two brothers, Trenton Gude (Iris) of Covington and Rodney Gude (Pernnika) of Conyers. Also a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; including a special friend, Leniece Barnes and best friend for life, Greg Banks.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
